A native to Washington state, Emily began writing and performing music when she was 13 years old. In 2008, Emily was selected as the finalist for a national songwriting contest sponsored by Seventeen Magazine, awarding her a trip to New York City to record her first demo in a professional studio.

When she was 18, Emily self-released her first album "Farewell Fidalgo," a tribute to the three years she lived in beautiful Anacortes, WA.

Emily graduated on scholarship with her degree in Music Education from the University of Washington and shortly after began teaching music at an elementary school in Redmond, WA.

She is excited and looking forward to devoting more energy towards songwriting, collaborating with other musicians and performing locally.
